This month the most common challenge most clients voiced to me was “burn-out.”

That led to my question, “How’s your self-care doing? Have you derailed from your spiritual practices of meditation, quiet time, walking in nature, reading uplifting books and listening to podcasts? Creative time? Did you book your calendar solid without looking at a three-month view? Gratitude journaling? Travel?”

Usually the answer is self-care has taken a back seat for sure and definitely not enough or any travel. Plus they did not have a three month view of their calendar so as to pace their work-load. I plan my calendar in 90-day increments so as not to overbook my time. I can say no to requests easier when I know how full my calendar is.

What can you do to disrupt your pattern so you can be replenished?

THE best remedy to burn out is get out of town! Go travel somewhere you have never been.

The magic of transformational travel is you completely disrupt your pattern and place yourself in play and imagination mode again! It’s vital for a healthy life.

I want you to lean into adventure, fun, newness, freedom, exploring, meeting new people and cultures. It is all those high-frequency qualities that replenish your soul and spirit!  Go after your travel desires even if it’s for four days. A full week to 10 days is better but four days can do the shift.

I am referring to those places on your dream list that you deny for whatever reason you give it. Here’s the spiritual reason why it’s crucial you plan the trip and go:

These desires are meant to transform you. Transformational travel is a real thing. It’s not just a trendy phrase. It’s very real. When you give yourself the gift of international travel, you change from the inside out forever.

I awoke a few weeks ago at the “just before burn out” stage. I’ve learned how to heed the warnings when I have been far too much in masculine drive mode. You know it. Running the business. Serving your passion to clients. Structures. Goals. Discipline. Going after the results. Systems. All those important activities that ground your business or career and keep the momentum going. That was me the last two months. You, too?

However, I learned when we ignore the dreamer in us and our desires to feel free-spirited and flowing, which is the feminine energy of our lives; we will certainly create burn out. We feel drained. No creative juices. Numbed out.

So what did I do? Booked travel of course! I jumped out of bed with my intuition loudly speaking to me to go to my coach’s training in gorgeous Vancouver B.C.!

I knew of the event for over a month but hesitated. Now I am so excited to break the pattern! I will be in a new city I never visited. First time travel to Canada. I will be meeting up with my high vibe community of women professionals with our coach. Four days of fun, adventure, inspiration and transformation! We’ll be in bustling downtown Vancouver among all the hi-rises and stunning views of the ocean and bay.

Those clients who were in burn out? I required them to book their travel. They did. They felt some of the angst and drain begin to fade just by booking their calendar and flights. It’s that fast. The rest of the liberation will happen on the way to their destination.
